Edward Martin Perpetual Horseshoeing Competition


Virgilio Neto-Brazil has been chosen as the winner of this year’s Edward Martin Perpetual Scholarship.  Born in Brazil, Virgilio has been around horses his entire life.  Virgilio has extensive veterinary experience and received his BS in Animal Science pre-vet from Cal Poly.  We wish Virgilio every success as he pursues his studies in the world of farriery.

 Lydia Bim-Merle of Michigan City, Indiana has been selected the 2016 winner of the Edward Martin Perpetual Scholrship.  Lydia is enrolling in Heartland Horseshoeing School in Larmar, MO.  After graduation she will go to California where she will start working full time with a journeyman farrier.



Jill Duerst of Littleton, Colorado has been chosen as the winner of 2015 Edward Martin Perpetual Scholarship.  She is attending Heartland Horseshoeing School and will graduate September 55, 2015. Jill will be able to apply our scholarship money towards her tools and shoeing rig that she is now saving up for.

Erin Carey of Grantham, New Hampshire is the recipient of the 2013 Edward Martin Perpetual (EMP) Competition’s scholarship.  She has just graduated the Cornell Farrier Program.


Signa Podlejski of Rockbridge Baths, VA, has been named the recipient of the 2011 Edward Martin Perpetual (EMP) Competition’s scholarship.  She will be attending the Journeyman session at Heartland Horseshoeing School in Lamar, Missouri.

 

Ancil Stewart of Fairmount, Georgia, was named the recipient of the 2010 Edward Martin Perpetual (EMP) Competition’s scholarship. He attended Heartland Horseshoeing School in Lamar, Missouri

 

Chad Shaw of Colorado won the 2009 scholarship and he attended the 5 Star Horseshoeing School of Oklahoma.
